Rapid Response provides access to a comprehensive range of direct services, benefits, training opportunities and income support.
Rapid Response is a program in Kansas designed to address layoffs and plant closures by swiftly coordinating services and delivering immediate support to companies and their affected employees. Rapid Response teams collaborate with employers and employee representatives to optimize resources in an effort to reduce the disruptions caused by job loss.
Rapid Response offers customized, on-site services at affected companies, accommodating various work schedules and helping employers and their employees navigate the difficult transitions that follow job loss.
Rapid Response is delivered by staff from local KANSASWORKS Workforce Centers and may include the use of KANSASWORKS Mobile Centers. Follow-up services can encompass resume and interview assistance, career counseling, re-skilling, skills upgrading, and job training.
