IT Systems Administrator II–Topeka–216111

ポジションの概要    

The IT Systems Administrator II is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the AJLA–TS IT infrastructure, which includes overseeing software and computer installations, upgrades, hotfixes, patches, routine automation, security maintenance, troubleshooting, and providing training and technical support to all users within the organization. This role supports approximately 50 internal staff and nine state customers, each with numerous users. The administrator will also monitor, configure, maintain, repair, upgrade, and support AWS EC2 instances, AWS Serverless Computing, AWS S3 Buckets, AWS EBS volumes, AWS EFS Storage, AWS Application ELB, and other AWS services as needed. Additionally, the IT Systems Administrator II will design, install, modify, and maintain AJLA–TS Linux infrastructure, ensuring the timely resolution of server-side issues as they arise. They will proactively manage and develop the Linux infrastructure to ensure continuous 24/7/365 uptime and a system availability of 99.9%.

  • Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24X7X365 uptime service and system availability of 99.9%.
  • Develop and deploy solutions to any issues that arise.
  • Develop new system and application plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability.
  • Develop, document and audit AJLA–TS Information Security policies and procedures to ensure security compliance and protect systems from unauthorized use, user abuse and acts of nature.

The Operations and Logistics Coordinator plays a key role as part of the agency’s Leadership Team, providing comprehensive support to the Executive Assistant in coordinating appearances, events, meetings, and travel arrangements for the Secretary. This position serves as the primary point of contact for all phone calls relating to event and meeting invitations, as well as any requests associated with these activities. The coordinator will review each invitation and prepare relevant background information for the Scheduling Team meetings to ensure seamless scheduling.

In addition, the Operations and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all fiscal processes within the Office of the Secretary. The role involves developing detailed materials for the Secretary, including trip memos and briefing documents, ensuring all logistics and documents are in place for the Secretary’s engagements. As the lead support role for the Office of the Secretary staff, the coordinator ensures smooth operations and serves as an integral resource for the effective functioning of the office.

Pay starts at $17.39 per hour, with staff entering the Kansas Registered Apprentice Program at the beginning of the year following their hire date.
