Commerce Celebrates Community Development Block Grant Awards Across State The Kansas Department of Commerce celebrated the success of the 2025 Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) this week by bringing together representatives from 50 Kansas communities, statewide grant administrators, legislators and members of the Kansas congressional delegation. Topeka, Kan. – The KANSASWORKS Mobile Workforce Center will be in Linwood today to provide employment services after the tornado.
The Mobile Center will arrive in Linwood at 1 p.m. and set up at the Linwood Elementary School at 215 Park Street, Linwood, KS 66052.
Rapid Response Coordinators will be at the Linwood Library (19649 Linwood Road, Linwood, KS 66052) working to ensure residents know about and can file for unemployment benefits in addition to numerous other benefits available to them through the KANSASWORKS Workforce Centers.
The Mobile Workforce Center may end up moving to the Linwood Library location, as well, later in the day.
