Applications Open for Kansas Arts Commission Funding Opportunities Applications are being accepted for four Kansas Arts Commission (KAC) grant programs that support a wide range of arts and cultural activities across the state. Governor Kelly Announces Nearly $11M for Community Improvements Governor Laura Kelly announced Friday that 24 rural Kansas communities will receive a share of nearly $10.9 million through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Warehouse, Transportation and Wholesale Trade Careers Highlighted at Upcoming Job Fair Jobseekers and employers interested in warehouse, transportation and wholesale trade occupations are encouraged to take part in February’s Job Fair, hosted by KANSASWORKS. Lt. Governor Toland Announces Rural Economic Development Grant Recipients In this round of the Strategic Economic Expansion and Development (SEED) grant program, more than $250,000 was distributed among 12 recipients across the state. Mobile Workforce Center to assist residents in Linwood

Mobile Workforce Center to assist residents in Linwood

Topeka, Kan. – The KANSASWORKS Mobile Workforce Center will be in Linwood today to provide employment services after the tornado.

The Mobile Center will arrive in Linwood at 1 p.m. and set up at the Linwood Elementary School at 215 Park Street, Linwood, KS 66052.

Rapid Response Coordinators will be at the Linwood Library (19649 Linwood Road, Linwood, KS 66052) working to ensure residents know about and can file for unemployment benefits in addition to numerous other benefits available to them through the KANSASWORKS Workforce Centers.

The Mobile Workforce Center may end up moving to the Linwood Library location, as well, later in the day.
