What sets your business apart from your competitors? Aside from my dog experience, I have a degree in Communications. We strive to not just give dog owners the training they need but make it easy to understand and fun!

ABOUT THE OWNER

Owner’s Name: Kelli Bausch

What is your background?
I am a 3rd generation dog trainer, I grew up in the industry.

What inspired you to start your business?
My passion for dog training. As many kids do, I went through a phase after college where I did not think I wanted to follow in my parents footsteps so I got a “real job” in outside sales. It was not long before I found myself taking my dog to work with me!

QUESTION & ANSWER SESSION

Why should your business be included in the minority & women business spotlight?
I love being a woman owned business! I would love to show younger girls that they can own their own business too!

What was the biggest “win” in your business’ history?
Making the jump to our large facility. It has allowed us to offer several dog sports that were not previously available in our area.

What’s one valuable lesson you’ve learned that you would share with other business owners?
Running a business is A LOT more than just doing what you love. I do a lot of dog training but I also needed to be knowledgeable in marketing, economics, public relations, etc.

Tell us an interesting and fun fact about your business.
The dog in our logo is actually my dog “Tru” who is well known among our clients.
