|The Kansas Department of Commerce will host International Trade Day on June 6 in the Colonial Ballroom of Emporia State University’s Memorial Union. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the conference will adjourn at 5:15 p.m. |
The keynote address will be delivered by Chris Kuehl, the Managing Director of Armada Corporate Intelligence.
Registration for the 2017 International Trade Day is open with a registration fee of $50.

JumpStart Kansas Entrepreneurs
The event brought legislators, business owners and students to the Kansas Statehouse to celebrate entrepreneurship.
The JumpStart Kansas Entrepreneurs Program designed to incentivize and encourage “new businesses” while developing the entrepreneurial spirit in the state by partnering with the university structure.
Kansas Military Workforce Summit
The summit brought together service-members, businesses and community members to discuss employing skilled and dedicated service-members in the Kansas workforce.
Brigadier General Pat Frank and Secretary Soave spoke on this and many other aspects of veterans and why they make supber employees for any industry.
Terracon announces Plans for new Corporate Headquarters in Olathe
Terracon announced that the next phase of its growth will occur close to its Kansas home.
The company will build a new $21 million corporate headquarters in Olathe, keeping nearly 200 employees close to the company’s existing location.
Olathe has been home to Terracon for more than 10 years. Since 2007, the company has grown from $335 million in revenue to more than $580 million.
The Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission would like to announce the 2017 Participating Artists for the Tallgrass Artist Residency. The Tallgrass Residency program was first implemented in 2016 with funding from the Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission (KCAIC) Arts Integration Program.
